Leaves lint residue all over my work and workout clothes. Ripped seams on two brand new work tops. We've had 3 service companies make 5 service calls over 7 months and still have no resolution. We've done everything all of their contridictory advice offered...bigger load, smaller load, less soap, arrangement in drum, extra rinse cycle, DO use all the custom settings, DON'T use all the custom settings, sanitize the machine. We've had 3 control panels and the water valve replaced so far. Whirlpool customer service continues to request service calls. After the 5th call, we cannot afford to take off work for a 6th one. They will NOT replace this machine and offered zero escalation point. Technicians are not paid for warranty calls so don't look for their help either. Warranty only covers parts NOT replacement. Returns were only allowed within the first 15 days of delivery - BUYER BEWARE! One service company suggested that front loaders are more gentle and do not leave this residue - which is COMMON with HE toploaders due to goverment water restrictions. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!! Collasal waste of money, time and stress!!!

It doesn't clean clothes at all. I washed a shirt that I was wearing when I got a haircut and it had as much hair on it at the end of the cycle as it did when I started it. My jeans that I get dirt and grime on look like they were just folded back up and put back in my closet without washing them. To top it off, the plastic frame that holds the glass lid in place has cracked and the lid will not shut enough to get the machine to begin a load unless I put something heavy on top of the lid. DO NOT BUY THIS WASH MACHINE! IT IS A WORTHLESS PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!!!!!!

We bought this washer on clearance at Lowe's. It had been marked down to $699.99 over MLK weekend, but we got an additional 10% off since they'd sold all except the floor model. For $629.37, we think it was a good deal. We know repairs to Cabrio washers are expensive, so we opted for a SquareTrade 5-year warranty; we got a great deal on that, too, since they sent me an email for 40% off a warranty purchase.The first thing we washed was a fairly heavy, generously-sized, king comforter. We used the bulky setting. It washed up *great*. We were amazed it didn't need any kind of re-adjustment in the drum during its cycle. My next load was comprised of various clothes, a mixed load. I'd say there was well over a laundry basket's worth. I did them on the recommended setting and they, too, washed up very well. All the clothes cycled through the agitation cycle and everything smelled fresh. On the whites setting, I washed a very large load of towels and threw in our plastic shower curtain liner. At one point, I did have to pause the load and redistribute the shower curtain liner since it had formed a mushroom top over the linens. Once I did that, the wash continued without incident. We had a Frigidaire frontloader the last 9 years and this was the first time a shower curtain liner came out spotlessly clean. That impressed me, given what we were used to.You definitely have to follow the manufacturer's directions on how to load the tub and what cycles to use. We're pleased with the washer. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the propensity for the mushroom top. I'd read this can happen with this style of washer and I've seen it myself on two loads now. The other was a thin, but heavy king bedspread.
