I purchased this dryer in May of 2012. When it arrived the dryer looked fine inside and out. It comes with a 1 year warranty from Maytag. After a week or so of using the dryer it started making a banging noise. We called Maytag and they sent a 3rd party service team out to take a look at it. The service tech indicated the dryer was defective and should be replaced. Maytag did not agree. Three service techs later and they still have not fixed the dryer nor have they offered to replace it. Maytag even asked during one call why we were calling them? We are still trying to get the system fixed and the next step will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.What I want you to know is that in my opinion the Maytag line is no longer what it used to be and the service that was once considered to be above par is now nonexistent.Service on a BRAND NEW PRODUCT should work like this:You have a problem and notify the company. The company resolves the problem in a timely manner instead of giving you the runaround.On the positive side the washer seems to work fine.Take my advice:Do Not Buy a Maytag product. If you have a problem you will be on your own even with a warranty.I typically do not leave reviews, but felt it necessary to prevent someone from making the same mistake I did.
