I recently moved and needed to replace a lot of appliances, a washing machine and dryer being the most important (boys + pets = lots of laundry). I decided on this one based on the features provided and the sales pitch helped, I just crossed my fingers hoping for the best. Thankfully, all the buttons and digital functions delivered what they promised and I am a very happy customer!It's a front loading dryer and I did not purchase the pedestal option. I stacked it on top of the matching Samsung washer and although I need to go on tippy toes to reach all the functions (I'm petite), the space saved is worth it. It works easily for my much taller husband. I love the all the varied features this dryer provides and reading the instruction booklet is necessary for some (My Cycle). There are dedicated buttons for "Delay Start," "My Cycle" (programmable for your most often used setting), "Adjust Time Up" and Adjust Time Down" with the ability to adjust degrees of dry level, temperature, time and signal volume. The main dial for drying has several settings including, "Bedding Plus", "Delicates", "Wool", "Wrinkle Away" with the steam function. A very cool and necessary function in my household where the iron is considered an enemy. I was afraid to use the wool setting in fear of ruining much loved sweaters but it worked fine with no shrinkage. Very impressive! All of the settings work fine. The dryer does not shake much which is key since the electrical cord is stretched to its limit. It makes an average amount of noise.Having two active boys, a husband who loves the outdoors, two dogs that love rolling in the dirt and then distributing that dirt to anyone nearby, I do LOTS AND LOTS of laundry. I love anything that makes my life easier and this dryer helps. I use it every day and having the matching washer that leaves little water in the clothes really helps cut down on the drying time needed. A big plus is the steam feature of this dryer that melts wrinkles away and makes ironing almost obsolete.I am not a big fan of housework and laundry is not a favorite chore so I'm very pleased with the performance of this dryer. The steam feature is my favorite! I'm all about making life easier and this machine helps. I highly recommend this Samsung dryer and have no complaints even after daily use for 3 months. I will report back if there are any problems.
