I bought the predecessor to this machine just before it was discontinued a little over a year ago.Pros:Get's clothes clean.We have not had a "smell issue" like we did with the front load washing machine that we "upgraded" from.Cons:1. It does have a large capacity - but you cannot necessarily use it because when you fill it - it ties all the clothes together.2. You cannot wash clothes that are in anyway delicate as it will rip tiny holes into them.3. My biggest concern - the center cap in the bottom of the tub is made out of plastic. The cap is attached with three tongues that snap into a lip. The fact that the company made this out of plastic is probably the most irritating and poorly thought out design I could ever imagine. If they are not going to put a modicum of thought - what else have they screwed up. After a little over a year - one of the tongues broke off. I bought some underwater welding putty and fixed it. It ran for a month and another one broke off which I repaired the same way. Seeing the writing on the wall - I repaired it and reinforced the remaining one. It ran fine for a month - and broke off just above my reinforcement.You cannot run the machine without the cap. If you do - the exposed hardware cuts into your clothes. I have called the company - they will not stand behind their product and replace it.When I pay top dollar which I'm willing to do - I expect quality.I used to purchase all LG appliances and 55 tv. No more. I just bought a 32 cu/in fridge by Samsung and a Kitchenaid dishwasher. Two sales LG lost because they lost my faith in the quality of their product. We'll see how these companies play out.Update: They tried to make me get a service call so that they could send a tech out to snap in a cap for me. I rejected the suggestion. Finally they referred me to a parts distributor. Found out from the parts distributor that this is a common problem and that it happens with their front load washing machines too. They fully agreed with me that this is a huge indicator of poor quality. I ordered two so that I can get through another couple years without calling for another "Pulsator Cap".Good job LG.
