Bought this to replace a 30 year old Whirlpool that died with a tub full of water...LIKE: Size, weight, ease of use, quietDON'T LIKE: difficult to add clothes after fill cycle started. And what is a "sense" cycle?! Who is working for whom here? ;)As with most consumer goods in the last 30 years, the technology of washing clothes has changed dramatically. We now have "HE" detergents, hyper efficient washer cycles, low water, low energy washing machines...While I applaud using less energy, water, and detergent, the price we pay as a species is that the machine has become the task master. Approach it with caution. It must be loaded in a certain way in a certain sequence, it doesn't like to be interrupted to add a couple of shirts I forgot to put in the hamper, and it makes strange hissing noises as it goes about its super secret work, reminiscent of "the Sorcerer's Apprentice" in Disney's "Fantasia"... perhaps to frighten off inquisitive interlopers... Uhh... who's working for whom here?!

I BROUGHT THIS ITEM FOR MY MOTHER IN LAW.. SHE LOVED IT.. SO DO I.. I AM THINKING OF PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT PLUS A DRYER MYSELF.. THE DRUM IS REALLY BIG AND SPACIOUS TO FIT LARGE LOADS OF CLOTHING.. AND FOR THE PRICE IT'S WELL WORTH IT.. CAN'T FIND A BETTER BARGAIN THIS ANY WHERE ELSE BUT AMAZON...

The good: it washes well and it spin drys well.The bad: fills the entire room with water, steam/mist escapes the entire time it runs. It seems to escape from the back of the lid. The entire laundry room is covered in a fine sticky mist of water/soap. Returning before it causes mold and destroys everything around it.also of note: the dryer that matches this is also terrible
